In partnership with Cornell University’s Engineering program, WCM medical students can pursue an advanced degree in the Master of Engineering (MEng) program. This program, conducted at Cornell’s Ithaca campus, is designed for medical students to complete between their third and fourth year of M.D. studies, and the program would start after Areas of Concentration Block 1. The MEng degree requires 30 credits, including coursework and a significant hands-on project, which may take place on-campus or off-campus at a start-up, hospital, or other institution.
M.D. students completing an MEng degree will obtain a fast-paced, high-level exposure to a unique combination of technical knowledge, application experience, and professional development, all suitable for a career at the intersection of medical practice and technology development. The application deadline for this program is April 1.
